Winners of the Latin Grammy 2021. Born in 2003 in the nightclubs of Monterrey, Mexico. Their music draws influences from their northern and Texan roots, as well as rock, cumbia, reggae, bolero, and R&B.

The band consists of Jair Alcalá (vocals and accordion), Bolo Alcalá (drums), Chino Alcalá (percussion), Sabo Romero (alto and baritone saxophone), Alejandro García (MC and percussion), Kike de León Jr. (electric bass), Gera Núñez (tenor saxophone), and Miguel Martínez (keyboards). El Plan is a fundamental part of the alternative and independent northern and Tex-Mex movement of the 2000s. Thanks to their original style, El Plan has earned recognition from both audiences and the music industry, so much so that the press has dubbed them "Pride of Nuevo León," "The Musical Elegance," and "The Dream Team." They have twice received the Citizen Merit Medal from the Government of Guadalupe, N.L., for their contribution to art and culture.
